New toolkit to drive gender equity
News | 27 November, 2024
Women in the electricity sector are paid on average 22% less than men — a gender pay gap that's nearly three times the national average. The research is based on 11,472 employee records from 25 companies and organisations.
The sector is having honest kōrero about the much-needed action we need to take. There are a lot of initiatives that are creating real positive change and now we have the gender pay gap toolkit – which is available for everyone.
The toolkit is simple. Gather your pay data, enter it into the online tool to calculate your gender pay gap, then complete the self-assessment questionnaire to help you take action.
We have sent this toolkit to all lines companies and the distribution sector is continuing to share the success stories that some EDBs have already started to see. If we ramp up collaboration, we will move faster together.
