New map highlights all EDB connection prices and policies
This new map highlights the connection prices for the 27 EDBs. It points to the full connection policies and includes a factsheet for each EDB highlighting important connection information and how charges are calculated.
We have built a map that highlights the connection prices for the 27 Electricity Distribution Businesses (EDBs). The map points to the full connection policies and includes a factsheet for each EDB highlighting important connection information including how charges are calculated.
ENA’s Regulatory Manager, Keith Hutchinson, says ENA and its members have developed this map to ensure that people can access information on EDB connection costs and processes in a transparent and easy-to-find way.
“We have an important job to electrify Aotearoa and help the country meet its net-zero emission goals. What comes with this, is more third parties needing to connect to EDBs, like EV charging stations for example.
“It’s important that people and businesses can easily find key information and contacts to kick start the process for their connection to New Zealand’s distribution networks. This map will help people find connection information quickly,” says Keith.
The map is now live on the ENA website here: connections map.
