EDBs took home gold at the 2024 Energy Excellence Awards

A massive congratulations to the winners of the 2024 New Zealand Energy Excellence Awards. It was incredible to see all the innovative and sustainable projects showcased tonight.

A special shout out to the lines companies who came away with gold. Powerco won the Energy Distributor of the Year award. Counties Energy won the Innovation in Energy Award for its project 'reimagining flexible infrastructure using second-life EV batteries.' And the Young Energy Professional of the Year was awarded to Moonis Vegdani from Counties Energy.

Five EDBs were named as finalists in awards — Northpower, Counties Energy, PowerNet, Powerco and WEL Networks. It was awesome to see all the great initiatives showcased over the evening.
